Ohio's Tate co-hosts Wake Up Barstool Friday, Oct. 16
TLDR: Ohio's Tate drove overnight from Ohio to Chicago after the Guardians stole ALCS Game 1, made Tuesday's Wake Up Barstool, and has now been promoted from desk boy to co-host for Friday.
This started Monday night in Ohio, with Tate watching the Guardians in the ALCS and holding an invite to be on national TV in Chicago the next morning.

The game is the reason he had to go. Cleveland was down 2-0 at Tropicana Field and came back to beat the favored Rays 7-3. Patrick Bailey started it in the 7th with a 436-foot solo shot off Drew Rasmussen to tie it 2-2. You don't sleep on a win like that. You put on the jersey, load up the dog and drive to Chicago.
So he did. Tate drove through the night, got into the city in the dark and was at the office before Wake Up Barstool went live on FS1 Tuesday morning. Every 'drive safe' reply on his timeline came from someone who'd watched him do this before. The bet was that he'd show up. He did.
He made it!

The rest of the week was regular Barstool chaos. Lucas has been pitching Tate a new video idea almost every day, and they're shooting one now. Rico Bosco also took a shot from the Pick'Em set, and it went right after the fact that Tate's life gets filmed a lot.
Then on Thursday afternoon came the actual news. The guy who drove 6 hours to fill a seat on Tuesday is now a co-host on Friday, and he immediately started panicking about what to wear on TV.

It's a packed weekend for an Ohio guy. The Guardians play again Friday night with a 1-0 series lead, Ohio State plays Saturday and the Browns play Sunday. Joe Thomas, the Browns Hall of Famer, is the show's Friday regular, so Tate gets to talk Cleveland football with the best player in modern Browns history. The outfit is still undecided. We'll find out Friday morning on FS1.
