Mintzy cashes Rays, bets Ole Miss at +2000 for the natty

TLDR: Stool Mintzy bet Ole Miss at +2000 to win the national championship at halftime of its 31-3 rout of Missouri, then cashed the Rays at +165 to win the ALCS after taking them down 2-1.
Coming into Saturday, plenty of people at Barstool were still on the fence about Ole Miss vs. Mizzou. T-Bob was not one of them.
“I'm going with the home team here. I'm going Ole Miss, though I'm cheering for Mizzou.” – T-Bob
The home team was the right call, though it didn't look like it for the first 10 minutes. No. 13 Missouri went up 3-0, and then it didn't score again for the last 53 minutes of the game. Trinidad Chambliss accounted for 4 touchdowns, 3 through the air and 1 on the ground, and finished 20-of-36 for 241 yards. The prettiest of the 3 throws came on 3rd and 10 in the second quarter: a 21-yarder to Horatio Fields in the end zone, right between 2 Missouri defenders.
The running game told the same story from the other side. Missouri finished with 39 yards on 26 carries, and it was Ole Miss's first win over Mizzou since 1974. It was also Pete Golding's 5th win over a ranked team as head coach. Mintzy had seen enough by halftime. With Ole Miss already rolling, he went to the window and took the Rebels to win the whole thing.

National Championship @DKSports Ole Miss +2000 Placed at halftime today. Who’s Comin’ with me?!?!?! #DKPartner
You can argue about whether +2000 is fair for a 5-1 SEC team playing like this. What you can't argue with is the timing. He bet them at the exact moment the rest of the country was finding out that the Ole Miss defense is the real deal, not just Chambliss and the offense.
Then the heater kept going on Monday night. Tampa Bay had dropped 2 of the first 3 games of the ALCS to Cleveland, and that's when Mintzy grabbed the Rays at +165 to win the series. They won the next 3. Yandy Diaz had guaranteed a Game 6 win, then backed it up with a 2-run homer in the 8th. Junior Caminero hit a 2-run shot of his own, and Tampa won 7-3 for the 3rd pennant in franchise history.

✅TB (+165) to win series Took it when down 2-1 & they won final 3! The Rays win the pennant!!!!
So that's a Rays ticket cashed and a natty future on a team that just beat a top-15 opponent by 28. Next up is Tampa Bay vs. Milwaukee in the World Series. For Mintzy, the bigger question is whether Ole Miss can keep winning like this through the back half of an SEC schedule, because every week they do, that +2000 ticket gets a lot more valuable.
