White Sox Dave and Barstool crew ride Sox to 2-0 ALDS lead

TLDR: The White Sox beat Cleveland 4-3 in Game 2 to go up 2-0 in the ALDS, and White Sox Dave and the Barstool Chicago crew sweated every inning of it.
Dave was keeping score on his whole week before Game 1 in Cleveland even started, and he had big plans for it.

Back in action He’s alerted me that this is more than a weekend hat trick With the Bears/Eagles win & the WC series win he’s going for the elusive 6-0 week It’d be the best sports week of his life outside of the 2005 World Series he says @barstoolWSD
He watched Saturday's opener from a packed Bridgeport bar, and Game 1 gave him a moment right away. Munetaka Murakami took Parker Messick over the left-field wall in the 4th to make it 2-0. Dave skipped the English call and went with the Japanese broadcast, which tells you where his head was at.
The Sox closed out Game 1, and the bar went nuts. Dave's first thought was Ohio's Tate, who roots for Cleveland and was off getting married while it happened. By Dave's count the week now stood at 5-0, and the Bears were up next.

White Sox win Game 1 of the ALDS Whitesoxdave tells @OhioTate that he’s coming for that ass He improves to 5-0 on the week with the Bears tomorrow to go perfect @barstoolWSD
It's worth stepping back for a second. This team won its first 3 playoff games on the road, Wild Card included, without trailing once. That ended about 10 minutes into Monday's Game 2, when Cleveland scored 2 in the 1st and the Sox fell behind for the first time this October after 27 innings.
For Game 2, Dave and the boys streamed from the Cave in Chicago instead of a bar. Gavin Williams kept the Sox quiet early, and then Murakami came through again. He was down 0-2, worked the count full and drove in Chicago's first run in the 4th.
In the 6th the Sox scored 3. Braden Montgomery lined a 2-run double the opposite way down the right-field line to put them ahead 3-2, and Chase Meidroth followed with an RBI single. The Cave did not handle it calmly.

NO PINCH HITTER NEEDED! @barstoolWSD and the boys are feeling it now
Sean Burke deserves a lot of the credit. He went 5 1/3 innings and gave up 1 run on 1 hit with 6 strikeouts. Cleveland still got 1 back late and made it 4-3, so the bottom of the 9th was a 1-run game, and the Cave was watching every pitch.
The Sox held on. A Bears win plus 4 straight road playoff wins was apparently enough to make Dave consider religion, and he went straight to the Pope with it Monday night.

I’m not a very pious man but the Pope has his hands all over this week. I’m convinced. Please @Pontifex keep this run going for us
By Tuesday more people were showing up for the series. Stuart Feiner flew into Chicago, stopped at the Palm for breakfast, and is already calling Wednesday a clincher.

Plane late so we ate a great breakfast at the world famous Palm and it was delicious. Going out with @danabeers and his lovely wife Kailey to dinner and Tomorrow @whitesox god willing clincher. Insane impressive to go 4-0 on the road and pitching and hitting have been epic. After the White Sox lost 100 games 3 years in a row, for them to turn it around OUT OF NOWHERE is mind blowing. What a great, classy humble, stars, having career years and god can they mash the ball. Lets go White Sox and there is a shot @StoolMintzy is a hero too.
Game 3 is Wednesday at 3 p.m. CT at Rate Field on TBS, truTV and HBO Max, and both possible home games are sold out. Teams up 2-0 in a best-of-5 have won 89% of the time. MLB.com notes a win would be the franchise's first home playoff clincher in 120 years. Dave says this is his best sports week since 2005, and it gets 1 more game, possibly 2.
