Ohio's Tate runs Chalktober to 13, eyes Blake Snell

TLDR: Ohio's Tate took Chalktober to 13 straight with a Guardians first-inning cash, then aimed the 14th play at Dave Roberts: Blake Snell under 12.5 hits, earned runs and walks at -1100.
Chalktober is simple: one -1000 or heavier play every day of October, with the whole bankroll rolled forward. It's simple until a Sunday in Cleveland turns into a monsoon.

The #Browns blowing up all of their momentum with a gross loss to the Jets (I don’t care if it’s raining) would be bad. Awful offensive line play. Bad drops. Wonky reads from Watson & bad sacks. Penalties. Atrocious run game. Yuck.
Tate's play on the 11th was Browns over 7.5 points, the same bet he opened the month with. Then Cleveland spent the second half stuck on 6 in the pouring rain, playing like the clip above. The Browns lost, but the over got there anyway, and that's all a chalk merchant needs. The streak survived the day, and so did the next play, Bills +20.5 on Monday Night Football.
Tuesday's Chalktober play was personal: Guardians +1.5 in the 1st inning of ALCS Game 2 at Tropicana Field, livestreamed from his couch. Parker Messick was on the mound and it was a pure first-inning sweat, but Cleveland got out of the frame and the number hit.

HE DOES IT AGAIN! GUARDIANS +1.5 (1st inning only) THAT’S 13 STRAIGHT ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ A CHALKTOBER TO REMEMBER!!! 🎃 Comment your best plays for tomorrow below!!! #TeamGame

The only thing scarier than Friday the 13th is Chalktober the 13th Huge hurdle to get over tonight, so I’m riding with my guys Guardians +1.5 in the 1st inning is the play (-1000) $295.86 to win $325.44 I will be livestreaming the 1st inning from this account later tonight 🎃 t.co/nZw9fK0KyV

The rest of the night went worse. A ground ball got through José Ramírez's legs for the first Rays run, Tampa tacked on a 2-run single, and the Rays won 3-1 to tie the series. All 3 runs were unearned, so Messick pitched well enough to win and got nothing for it.
Cleveland fans landed somewhere between annoyed and grateful. Anyone who'd have signed up for a split in Tampa 2 days ago got exactly that, and the next 3 games are in Cleveland.

Tough one. Squandered some chances, made some mistakes (weird field!), but any Cleveland fan not happy going back to Ohio tied 1-1 is out of their minds. Gavin on Thursday. Get back on track. Believe. #Guardians
With the Guardians off Wednesday, Chalktober had to go find another sport. Tate went to the NL and spoke straight to the Dodgers manager. Milwaukee leads the NLCS 2-0, Snell starts Game 3 Wednesday night, and the play is that Snell doesn't give up more than 12 combined hits, earned runs and walks.

I usually give some sort of corny, sarcastic explanation for my Chalktober play But tonight I’m talking directly to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts If Blake Snell gives up more than 12 Hits / Earned Runs / Walks (-1100) tonight, then shame on you for not going to a well rested bullpen in a Must Win game Either he shuts them down or they yank him early $325.44 to win $355.02 🎃
The logic holds up. Either Snell is dealing, or Roberts pulls him the moment things go sideways, because nobody lets a starter wear a 13-baserun disaster while trailing 2-0 in the series. The way to lose is a slow Brewers bleed that Roberts lets run too long. First pitch is 8 PM ET. If it cashes, Chalktober hits 14 straight with $355.02 riding into Thursday, and Thursday is Guardians-Rays Game 3 in Cleveland.
