Brandon Walker addresses FOX debate show rumors on the Yak

The week started with Billy Liucci of TexAgs on Wake Up Barstool on Monday, and Kayce Smith could not have been happier about it.

Some background on why Liucci was booked. After Texas A&M lost 27-6 to Missouri, Mike Elko told reporters that "Billy's cesspool" could go be Billy's cesspool, aiming it at the TexAgs message boards Liucci runs. Liucci went on Wake Up Barstool and said he "realized he wasn't trying to take a shot at me." Elko later said he regretted the comment. Liucci was back again Monday night on the Brandon Walker College Football Show, which BFW billed as an interview with the "cesspool curator" himself.

For the record, nobody demanded an apology from anybody here. Liucci was just the hottest guest in college football for a couple of days, and Barstool booked him twice.

By Wednesday morning the story had moved to BFW himself, and rone was the one pushing it. Wake Up Barstool airs on FS1, and Walker is already part of the rotation, hosting Mondays with Dave Portnoy and T-Bob Hebert. Rone decided the next step was a FOX debate show, posting a clip and asking the obvious question.

Why isn’t Brandon Walker more famous

The real fight played out in a thread. Rone tagged BFW and Nick Wright, the First Things First host who has been one of FS1's main debate voices for years, and pitched Walker for a show. Wright answered that BFW had been on a "Future Potential Analysts" list until "Pat Bev's sidekick took shots at Mangini." That's a guy hosting a FOX show telling a Barstool guy he had the job until his own hype man cost him it. Great stuff.

The Yak couldn't let it go. By the afternoon they had the whole thread up on the big screen, and Brandon had to answer for it on air.

So is BFW leaving to go yell at Nick Wright every morning? Nothing on the record says so. Right now this is rone stirring the pot and Wright having fun shooting it down, and Brandon is stuck in the middle. He's already plenty busy: a Wake Up Barstool slot, his own college football show, and an in-studio Barstool College Football Show on Thursday.

Then that night the Liucci thread came back around. Kayce admitted she had no idea what the context was, but she tagged both BFW and Portnoy on whatever the Cesspool had just posted.
