White Sox Dave prank call backfires on Eddie and Nick

TLDR: Eddie and Nick Turani spent a night at the Ohio House Motel for a Barstool Chicago sleepover video, and their prank call on White Sox Dave somehow ended up being about steak marinades.

Barstool Chicago's newest bit is simple. Take 2 grown men, book them into the Ohio House Motel, and film the whole night. The video's YouTube title calls the place a famous Chicago motel. Eddie announced it himself, and his promo leads with a close-up of the room's fabric that tells you everything you need to know about the thread count.

Every sleepover needs a prank call, and the guys picked White Sox Dave as the target. That was a mistake. A prank works when the person on the other end gets rattled. White Sox Dave apparently didn't. The call went from a gotcha to Dave getting serious about how he marinates his steak.

Prank call or not, White Sox Dave does not mess around with his steak marinades. @ModeloUSA

It's a perfect White Sox Dave result. You call to mess with him and hang up knowing more about steak prep than you did before. The prank never really landed, and Nicky Clicky clearly didn't know what to make of it either.

“What the fuck was that about?!” -Nicky Clicky This prank on White Sox Dave completely backfired

"What the fuck was that about?!" is the right response. It's also the reason this bit works. A prank that goes to plan is forgettable. A prank where the target turns it into his own segment is the one people clip. White Sox Dave wasn't in the room, and he still ended up with the best part of the video.

The full sleepover is up now. The prank call is just 1 stop in a night at a motel most people would only stay at on a dare. Watch it, and if White Sox Dave ever calls you, have a notepad ready. You might come away with a marinade.
