Rone Chaos Dominates Surviving Barstool Ahead Of Episode 6 Sunday

Episode 5 of Surviving Barstool left fans furious nobody voted out Rone, and Dante the Don spent the next day breaking down exactly how it happened.

Surviving Barstool season 5 hit a nerve this week, and the nerve is named Rone. Episode 5 aired Wednesday night and by the next morning the timeline was full of people asking the same question: how is this guy still in the game?

I lost all respect for @TomScibelli survivor game play. I got no clue who wins but when you got Rone on the ropes you do what I did. You snap his neck. So fucking dumb #survivingbarstool

That's Dave Portnoy weighing in on Tom Scibelli's game, specifically the decision not to send Rone home when he had the chance. It wasn't the only shot fired. The chaos got physical enough that Marty Mush had to bring in the medic during his own move, posting proof that it was called for right on the scroll.

By the next evening the frustration had a name attached to it. Ryan Whitney, who's admitted he was one of the worst players the company has ever run out there, said watching the tribe let Rone survive was something else.

Just finished last nights barstool survivor. Those idiots not getting Rone out was something else. And this is coming from one of the worst survivor players the company has ever seen.

Pat backed that read up directly, replying that he was truly the only one going for Rone all episode. Gaz's power rankings for the episode had Rone sitting at No. 2 in game play, entertainment and crazy moments, right behind Marty and ahead of Dante himself, which tells you how much oxygen Rone's survival act sucked out of the room.

Dante the Don, who's had his own rocky run this season, didn't let it go either. He posted that he and someone else were the ones who got 'fucked harder' by Rone, and followed it up by dropping a full 30-minute recap video breaking the episode down piece by piece.

That recap doubled as a preview for what's coming. Episode 6 drops Sunday, August 23, with Rumble Premium subscribers getting it at 5 p.m. ET and everyone else catching it on YouTube and X at 8 p.m. ET. If Rone survived another elimination without much resistance, the next episode is where the tribe either finally corrects course or lets him keep running the board.
