Steven Cheah's road-game grilling saga hits another snag

TLDR: Steven Cheah took on a grill he'd never touched, 8 burgers and 9 hot dogs for 3 families, and live-tweeted every mistake along the way.
Steven Cheah doesn't grill at home. So naturally, the move was to volunteer for grill duty on the road, at someone else's house, on a machine he'd never operated, feeding 3 families including his own. He announced the mission with the kind of grim resolve usually reserved for a must-win game.

Playing a road game tonight. Cooking for three families including my own. Grill I have no experience with. 8 burgers (3 with cheese) and 9 hot dogs is the order. Let’s see how this goes.
The order itself was a logistical puzzle: 8 burgers, only 3 of which needed cheese, plus 9 hot dogs, all on an unfamiliar grill. It's the kind of split-order chaos that sinks lesser cooks before the propane even kicks in, and Cheah was working with frozen patties to boot, a variable he admitted he had almost no experience handling.

I already messed up. I should’ve been able to get everything on. On the plus side, we’ve got spacing like the KD Warriors death lineup. I’m also dealing with frozen burgers which I have relatively little experience with.
Right on cue, it went sideways. Cheah copped to messing up the initial layout, joking that the awkward spacing on the grates resembled the spread-out death lineup the Warriors used to run with Kevin Durant on the floor. Not exactly the compliment a grill wants, but it captured the vibe: too much real estate, not enough plan.
Things got worse before they got better. Cheah admitted he choked the fire out entirely and had to shut the whole grill down mid-cook, a rookie mistake that would end most amateur grilling nights on the spot. Instead he regrouped, got the cheese on the burgers that needed it, and rode out the delay.

Choked the fire out. Shut the whole thing down. Got the cheese on and now we wait…
The internet, naturally, had questions about the cheese math. With only 3 of the 8 burgers requesting cheese, one account pointed out that meant 5 of the 8 people at this cookout were apparently walking around cheese-averse, a real crime against burgers that got called out mid-saga.
Burgers survived the fire scare, and Cheah moved straight into the hot dog phase without much of a breather, eventually declaring the dogs done. For a guy who opened the night by admitting he had no idea what he was doing, finishing all 17 pieces of meat for 3 families without a full-blown kitchen disaster counts as a win, extinguished fire and all.
