Frankie and Riggs come inches from a Reese's ace at Hershey

TLDR: Fore Play's Frankie and Riggs spent Tuesday afternoon firing at a 144-yard par 3 at Hershey Country Club for a Reese's ace, and Frankie twice left one on the edge of the cup.
The setup was simple: 2 guys, 1 tee box covered in Reese's flags, 144 yards to the pin, and a live stream at 1PM ET that kept going until somebody holed one or the clock ran out.
The venue makes sense for a candy-sponsored golf bit. Milton Hershey founded Hershey Country Club in 1930, it hosted the 1940 PGA Championship, and the Reese's Cup Classic was played on its East Course from 1997 to 2004. So of course the boys showed up with the Wanamaker Trophy sitting on the tee box. It's chocolate country with real golf history, and the crew went there trying to add an ace to it.
It nearly happened right away. Early in the session Frankie stuck a tee shot a few feet from the flag, with the gallery watching from the tent above the green. The tweet called it inches, and on the replay that's fair.

After that it turned into a grind. By the time Riggs scared the hole a little past the hour mark, the on-screen board showed 236 total shots, split almost exactly down the middle at 119 for Frankie and 117 for Riggs. That's a lot of swings from 144 yards, and the green was littered with balls around the pin.
Riggs then came closer than anyone so far. With under an hour left in the window, he rolled one right across the lip, and the Fore Play account's 😫 pretty much covers how it felt to watch.
Then the final push, and the shot nobody's going to shut up about. Frankie hit one that stopped right beside the flagstick, his second time leaving it on the doorstep. Riggs posted "I mean come on what how" and Trent called it criminal. Frankie got the last word himself later that afternoon.
He wrote "Has to go in," which is what people say when it didn't. None of the posts after the stream show a ball dropping, so for now Fore Play's Hershey trip ends as 2 near-aces from Frankie, 1 lip-out from Riggs, and a couple hundred Reese's-branded swings without a hole-in-one. If the full stream turns up a make that never got clipped, we'll hear about it. Until then they have the obvious reason to come back to Hershey and try again.
