Nicky Numbers says bankruptcy is on the table on House Call

The new episode is called 'Bankruptcy Blues ft. Nicky Numbers', so the House Call crew gets straight to it. Before the guest settles in, the show opens by putting Numbers on the spot and telling everyone he's filing for bankruptcy that day. Numbers corrects the record. He hasn't filed. It's just not ruled out either.

Anyone who has followed Numbers around the Jersey Jerry universe knows the guy isn't built for a quiet news cycle. He's Jerry's childhood buddy, a regular on the gambling and Telluride Bush Gaming side of things, and the whole bit runs on him walking a tightrope with his money. Opening an episode by saying bankruptcy might be the next move is peak Numbers, and the guys treated it the way this crew always does: they busted his balls about it.

Not everyone was running to help. The night before the episode dropped, Pat was already saying he was suspicious of any push to back Numbers. He figured it could be JJ setting him up and was keeping his head on a swivel. It's a joke, but with this group the paranoia is fair.

Then there's the bigger question hanging over Numbers: whether he ends up actually working at Barstool. It came up on a separate in-house show, where the hosts guessed at his odds of being on staff by the end of the year. Mook said it depends on whether he's free, and Jerry dropped a cryptic October 7th date without explaining what it means.

So Numbers says bankruptcy is on the table, the hosts are floating a Barstool job, and there's a date on the calendar nobody has explained.
