Eddie's garage tent party was Billy Joel, Vienna Beef, and a Rodney impersonator

TLDR: Eddie turned his garage into a multi-tent block party with hot dogs, a piano man, and a Rodney Dangerfield tribute act, and Barstool showed up in force.

It started as one tent. By the time Eddie was done setting up, there were multiple tents, a Billy Joel impersonator promising "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" in the rain, and a full Vienna Beef vendor rig parked in the driveway. Kate tried to make it 2 years running and couldn't, calling it out by its full, ridiculous name: the garage tent Billy Joel Rodney Dangerfield hot dog cart pappy and tang party. That title alone tells you everything you need to know about the vibe.

Nobody was joking about the food. Whitesoxdave, self-proclaimed non-Polish-sausage guy, admitted the ones at Eddie's bloc party were outstanding enough that he was still thinking about them the next day. But the real headline act wasn't the hot dogs, it was the Rodney Dangerfield impersonator Big Cat couldn't stop talking about. He called sharing a stage-adjacent moment with him his own personal Lollapalooza, and noted the guy claimed to have no set before ripping off a solid 10 minutes, including bits from Caddyshack.

The Rodney Dangerfield impersonator did a set at Eddie’s party and nobody liked it except Big Cat

That one fan, obviously, was Big Cat. The reception was described as lukewarm from the crowd at large, but Big Cat was fully locked in, scrolling through the impersonator's phone camera roll with him at one point and comparing the energy to Marlins Man. He even got a moment with him and Big John that he said he'd like to live in forever, joking it happened back before Tarik Skubal was a Dodger. Whatever the party lacked in a real headliner's guest list, it made up for with an on-site Billy Joel tribute act keeping the energy alive on keys well into the night.

The party also produced its own bidet subplot, which somehow became a whole separate news cycle. Dave Portnoy caught wind that Eddie's bathroom runs a cold-water bidet and called it the height of insanity, prompting Eddie to clarify it's actually room temperature and defending the whole in-and-out business as efficient. Somewhere in that same bathroom, T-Bob had his own reckoning.

Between the sausages, the tribute acts, and a bidet controversy that spilled onto Wake Up Barstool the next morning, Eddie's backyard did more programming in one night than most actual concerts. The only people who lost were the ones who couldn't make it, and Kate already knows she's on that list again next summer.
