Bill Burr names Eddie's blackjack beat his favorite clip

TLDR: Bill Burr went in studio on the October 14 Pardon My Take and called Eddie's blackjack bad beat with Dave Portnoy one of the funniest videos he's ever seen, and Eddie now wants a game with him.
Burr was the headliner on a stacked Tuesday episode, which ran over 3 hours with plenty of other material around him.

The episode had plenty in it: Brandon Walker on college football, playoff baseball, the Bills beating the Rams in a Monday night thriller, Hot Seat/Cool Throne and Guys on Chicks. Burr covered everything from how he'd fix the NBA to what he likes about the WNBA to a breathwork massage that apparently calmed his anger. The clip that took off, though, was about Barstool itself. Asked about his favorite piece of Barstool content, Burr went straight to a blackjack table.
The video is Eddie's bad beat from a blackjack session with Portnoy, a clip Barstool fans have been passing around since 2023. Dave later explained the hand on X. As he remembered it, Eddie split 8s against a dealer 4 and doubled down on one of the hands to get to 19. Then the dealer flipped a 7 and a 10, made 21 and took all 3 hands. It was close to the best spot you can get against a dealer and it still went to zero. The real comedy was Eddie's face while it happened.
Burr has been a PMT regular for years, and he has never pretended to be anything but a sports fan from Boston. In another clip from the same episode, Barstool called him a Patriots ball knower for how he broke down the team. Getting a comedian of his stature to name an Eddie meltdown as a favorite is about as good a review as Barstool's gambling content is going to get.
Eddie saw the clip that night and did the obvious thing: he asked for a rematch with a much funnier guy at the table.
Nobody has booked it yet, but it's an easy one to make. Barstool already runs big blackjack streams with Dave and a rotating cast, and Burr just said on air that he's a fan of the genre. If Eddie gets him to a table, the over/under on Burr narrating an Eddie collapse in real time should be about 1 hand. Somebody get the man a chair.
