Luis Severino exited Friday's start after one inning with right arm soreness and landed on the 15-day IL with a shoulder strain, joining Aaron Civale (shoulder) and Gunnar Hoglund (done for the year after hip surgery) on the shelf. That's three starters out, and it shows up in the bullpen workload every time Lopez gives them a short outing.

New York isn't fully healthy either — Max Fried, Giancarlo Stanton and Jasson Dominguez are all still working back, and Amed Rosario just hit the paternity list — but the lineup that's playing is rolling. The Yankees came into Sacramento on a 4-game winning streak with a 15-1 and a 7-0 stuffed in the middle of it, and at 35-23 they look much closer to the team people expected in March.
