The Tigers piled up 16 hits and never let Miller find any rhythm — he lasted just 5.1 innings against Minnesota his last time out, and Thursday wasn't much cleaner for Seattle's staff behind him. Detroit's offense, which had already dropped 13 runs on Oakland and 11 in a separate game earlier in the week, made an 11-run afternoon look routine.
