First pitch is set for 5:08 PM PT, and the mound matchup is a study in contrasts. Logan Webb, fresh off his third straight All-Star nod, gets the ball for San Francisco looking to build on a red-hot stretch since returning from a knee issue. Across from him is Bryan Woo, who's flashed frontline stuff at times this year but hasn't strung together enough clean starts lately to match it.

The Mariners are priced as the favorite here, and that's the right shape of the bet even after getting run over on Friday. Woo has swing-and-miss stuff that can flip a game quickly, and Seattle at home against a Giants team playing out a lost season is the more defensible outright pick. San Francisco's price reflects real value given how they've played, but this stays a home lean.

Woo's actually got the raw numbers to make this a real puzzle for Giants hitters — his FIP ranks among the better marks in the American League — but the results haven't matched the process. He's allowed at least 3 earned runs in 5 of his last 8 outings, and after the Mariners leaned on a six-man rotation coming out of the break, this is his first look at a Giants lineup that torched Seattle's staff for 7 runs less than 24 hours earlier. Webb, meanwhile, was named NL Pitcher of the Month for June and has posted a 2.18 ERA over his seven starts since coming back, even after taking the loss in his last outing against Toronto.

Seattle's lineup is banged up in ways that matter. Julio Rodriguez has been working back from a concussion, and with Brendan Donovan and Rob Refsnyder both out on rehab assignments, the middle of the order isn't at full strength. San Francisco has its own absences — Matt Chapman, Jonah Cox and Harrison Bader are all out — but the Giants have managed to win with the guys who are in the lineup, and Friday's game was Exhibit A.

That Friday game is still the loudest thing on either team's résumé right now. Willy Adames hit a grand slam, Austin Eldridge added a two-run shot, and Landen Roupp threw 7 shutout innings as the Giants blanked the Mariners 7-0. A win Saturday would give San Francisco its first 4-game winning streak of the season — notable for a club that's spent most of 2026 stuck in fourth place in the NL West.

None of that erases the standings gap. The Giants are 42-55 and playing out the string on a lost season in a lot of ways, while the Mariners at 48-50 are still trying to stay in the wild-card conversation. But right now, momentum is squarely with the visitors. Seattle's lost 4 of its last 5, and a second straight home loss to a sub-.500 Giants team would sting a lot more than the standings line suggests.
