Patrick Corbin (2-1, 3.65) draws Grant Holmes (3-2, 3.95) at Truist Park with first pitch at 7:15 PM ET. Corbin was steady in his last turn against Baltimore — 5 innings, 1 earned, no decision — and Holmes is coming off a wobbly 4.2-inning outing in Cincinnati where he gave up 7 hits and 3 runs.

The Braves are 41-20 and rolling. They've won 4 of 5, the only blemish being a Saturday loss in Cincinnati, and Tuesday's 4-3 walk-off-ish win was decided by an Olson opposite-field shot that scraped the right-field foul pole — his 17th of the year per ESPN. Toronto, at 29-32, has now lost 3 in a row after taking the first two from the Orioles last weekend.

The Blue Jays' injury list reads like a depth chart of guys they wish they had. Scherzer (forearm/ankle/thumb), Cease (hamstring), Bieber (elbow), Berrios (Tommy John) and Bowden Francis are all out of the rotation. Kirk is on the 60-day with the thumb, Anthony Santander's still shelved with the shoulder, and Jesus Sanchez was out of Tuesday's lineup with a wrist. That's the actual story of Toronto's season — they're running Corbin out there because the in-house options got obliterated.

Atlanta isn't fully healthy either — Sean Murphy is in a splint with a fractured finger, Drake Baldwin is still on the oblique IL, and the rotation behind Sale and Holmes has been thinned by Schwellenbach, Waldrep and Smith-Shawver all on the 60-day. But the lineup is intact enough that Olson, Acuña and Riley are doing the heavy lifting, and at home they've been the better team by a wide margin.

Pinnacle has Atlanta at -145 with a total of 8.5, which feels about right given the matchup and the venue. Toronto's best path is Corbin keeping the ball on the ground and the bullpen not coughing it up in the 7th — they already lost a tight one Tuesday, and Thursday's Sale start projects as a buzzsaw. If the Jays want to leave Georgia with anything, this is the night.
