Yug Off Games 3 and 4 set for December 3 in Chicago

TLDR: The Yak's Yug Off is coming back after a 9-month break, with Games 3 and 4 set for December 3 at Home by 3's live show in Chicago.

The Yak made it official on Tuesday's show, and the clip is a straight announcement from the Home by 3 set inside the Yak's broadcast.

🚨BREAKING: #Sources: It is believed the Yug Off will be resuming play as we have games 3,4, and 5 scheduled. More to come tomorrow on Home By 3 live at 10:30am pacific standard.

If you missed the first 2 games, you missed some of the dumbest, most overproduced content Barstool put out all year, and that's a compliment. The full name is the That's Baseball World Classic Yug Off. Game 1 aired March 12 and Game 2 aired the next day. Game 1 had a Cubs national anthem singer, a model plane flyover and a ceremonial first pitch, and Game 2 had a full choir plus a long fight over the rules. Dana and Green Greg won both games, so they're up 2-0 heading into Chicago.

Now it's moving to a real stage. Home by 3, the show run by Rob Gucci and J. Swish, has a live show at Park West on Armitage on December 3, with doors at 6:30 and the show at 7:30. The guys bill it as "a show about a show" and say it's turned into the WWE of comedy shows. Putting the Yug Off on that card makes plenty of sense.

The best part is that the date was on the books before anybody said it out loud. About 20 minutes before the announcement, a clip from the same show went around of the crew going through Green Greg's handwritten whiteboard calendar, month by month.

Breaking down Green Greg’s calendar

There's a lot on that whiteboard. You've got Mizzou at KU on 9/12, a Chicago trip in March around the Big 12 Tournament, the Masters April 9-12, a New York trip and World Cup content. Then December has 12/3-12/4 penciled in. The guy runs his life off a dry-erase board, and fans went straight for how he formats it.

That's the Yug Off in a nutshell. One of the biggest events in Yak history gets scheduled 9 months out, and the internet's real question is why July has no dates on it. The joke has always been the all-in commitment to something tiny, from the anthem singer to the choir to the rules debates.

What to watch for next is whether Dana and Green Greg close it out in Chicago or the other side finally gets on the board. We also need to know how much of the Yak's March pageantry makes it to Park West. Game 1 got a flyover and Game 2 got a choir. A sold-out room in Chicago has to top that, and December 3 is already on the whiteboard.
