Season 5 of Surviving Barstool kicked off Sunday, August 9, with 18 Barstool employees locked in the company's Chicago office for 5 days, grinding for a $250,000 grand prize. Episode 2, titled "A Company Divided," just went up, and if the title didn't already tip it off, the early alliances from the premiere are toast.

Gaz, who's been posting through it all season, dropped his own power rankings for entertainment value and gameplay heading into episode 2 -- Ohio's snake game, Rone's chaos, Meek's classroom energy, Dana's drinking and BFW rounding it out. It's the kind of insider read that makes clear this cast isn't playing nice, and Gaz confirmed episode 3 lands Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET on Rumble Premium, 8 p.m. on YouTube.

The bigger swing this season is the Imposter Idol, a twist that's already living up to the hype. Barstool's account teased the mechanic as pure chaos-generator, and the clip backs it up -- a hallway confrontation and a close-up of the actual wooden idol pendant, the physical object everyone's now scheming to find or fake their way into.

Off the show floor, the drama's spilling into the group chat energy of Barstool Twitter. Nicky Smokes has been in the middle of it -- Dante flagged him as being "on an all time hot streak," claiming vindication on a couple fronts, one of them tied to a person he'd needled online as a "dweeb." Turani, for his part, publicly walked back a shot he took at Nicky, calling it "a low blow" and admitting it was "an emotional embarrassing moment" on his end -- and Nicky later got visibly emotional describing how Turani had gone cold on him afterward.

Rone, one of the season's more chaotic presences per Gaz's rankings, also hopped on his RDC show to tease "untold" details from episodes 1 and 2 -- the kind of behind-the-scenes drip that keeps the fanbase engaged between drops. Two episodes in, the show's clearly landed: Dana Beers called out the production and editing as noticeably leveled up this season, and with the Imposter Idol still unresolved and alliances already fractured, episode 3's Wednesday drop has real stakes attached.
