The team's new beta scrim series, BUSH 8s, kicked off with sweggy and dandro hosting, and the plan was simple: get community players in against the actual organization.
The hook wasn't just pickup games. Telluride Bush Gaming has real competitive chops this season, with 1st-place finishes at Elite Playoffs 4 and Major 3 Atlanta and a 3rd-place run at Major 4 Paris in June, and front office manager Jace runs the operation alongside head coach Temp and the roster of Prolute, Cammy, Capsidal and Traixx. Putting fans in a lobby against that group, with a caster on the call, is a different kind of access than most esports orgs offer.
That caster is DandroCasts, who recently joined the Telluride Bush Gaming operation and lent BUSH 8s a legit broadcast feel instead of just a scrimmage stream. Before the games got going, the account also couldn't resist a shot at Jace, who apparently got caught with his mic still hot ordering food.
The following afternoon, the org came back around to react to the casting itself, calling DandroCasts' work from the night before "unreal" — a nod to how well the beta test landed and a tease that they'd run BUSH 8s back soon. From there the group pivoted straight into more community engagement, announcing a late-night Discord Q&A with Jace and members of the team.
That AMA went live early Wednesday morning, giving fans in the voice channel a direct line to the front office and roster after a night of watching them scrimmage. Between the scrim beta and the open Q&A, Telluride Bush Gaming is leaning hard into treating its Discord as the front door to the organization rather than just a fan chat room — and with BUSH 8s reportedly getting run back, that access isn't a one-off.
