Once Christian Yelich got involved, the floodgates opened. His 3-run homer in the 5th put Milwaukee up 6-0 and set the tone for what was about to become a laugher.

From there it just kept coming. David Hamilton hit a 3-run shot to make it 9-0, Jake Bauers followed with an absolute rocket at 102.7 mph off the bat, and Seattle's pitching staff had basically been reduced to target practice by the middle innings.

The cherry on top came in the 8th, when Luis Lara took a position player pitching for Seattle deep for his first career home run, a 373-foot blast per the on-screen Statcast readout that pushed the score to 16-0. By the time the final out landed, the board read 22-0, and Gary Sanchez was shaking hands with a Mariners player at first base to close it out.
For Seattle, this is about as bad as a loss gets, a total no-show against a Brewers lineup that decided to swing for history. For Milwaukee, it's a franchise-tying run total and a spot in the record books next to teams from 1975 and 2004. Nobody in Seattle is going to want to relive this one, and honestly, they shouldn't have to look too hard to avoid it.
